Britain’s Reform UK party has received £72 million ($97 million) from two crypto billionaires

Christopher Harborne (Tether and Bitfinex) doubled Ben Delo’s record donation of £36 million ($48.5 million). Together, these donations became the largest in the party’s history. Harborne also donated £9 million ($12.1 million) to the party in August 2025. He stressed that he does not expect anything in return, including policy changes.

Delo’s donation is structured as a monthly payment of £1 million ($1.35 million) through the general election in 2029. However, he paid the full amount upfront to prevent it from being blocked. Due to the ban on direct cryptocurrency donations, Harborne and Delo contributed in pounds sterling. According to various polls, support for Reform UK stands at 23–25%, making it the second-strongest political force in the country. The party actively supports the crypto industry.
