They apply to former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison and FTX co-founder Zixiao “Gary” Wang. A U.S. district court ordered them to continue cooperating with the CFTC. In addition, they have been barred from trading commodity interests for five years. They are also prohibited from registering as financial intermediaries, brokers, or executives of investment firms. For Ellison, this ban lasts 10 years, and for Wang, 8 years.

Earlier, both were accused of fraud involving customer funds, which led to the collapse of FTX. They testified against Bankman-Fried, who was sentenced to 25 years in prison. Ellison, in turn, received a two-year sentence and was released early in January. Wang was credited with time already served in custody.
