The Commission has filed a lawsuit against Democratic Governor Tony Evers, State Attorney General Joshua Kaul, and Gaming Division Administrator John Dillett. This occurred following the state's lawsuits against Coinbase, Robinhood, Crypto.com, Polymarket, and Kalshi. However, CFTC Chairman Michael Selig continues to assert their exclusive right to regulate prediction markets. Previously, the agency filed similar lawsuits against Illinois, Arizona, Connecticut, and New York. Meanwhile, Polymarket has begun negotiations with the CFTC for a full return to the US. Currently, Polymarket US offers a limited range of services due to previous disputes with the commission. The CFTC also announced that it has begun using AI to expedite the processing of applications related to cryptocurrencies.
