In 2025, the state received 826 cryptocurrency-related complaints, resulting in losses of $80 million. Nationwide, losses exceeded $11 billion. At the same time, other states, such as Arizona, are implementing partial bans. However, their effectiveness remains limited. Since the bill took effect in September 2025, the initiative has helped recover $171,300 for 35 victims. The funds were reimbursed by crypto ATM operators in cases of fraudulent transactions involving new customers.
