State Governors Kathy Hochul and J.B. Pritzker signed the respective orders. Hochul described profiting from betting using insider information as corruption. Meanwhile, Kalshi has banned three American politicians from betting on the outcomes of their own elections. The platform fined Ezekiel Enriquez, Matt Klein, and Mark Moran. They were also prohibited from placing bets on Kalshi for five years. Moran emphasized that he placed a bet specifically to test the anti-insider trading procedures. Kalshi has also started using the Pyth Network oracle to provide real-time data.
