In Chuvashia, the company "Smak-Agro" transferred ₽125,000 to a project subsidizing milk producers. The head of the republic, Oleg Nikolaev, also announced several social projects utilizing the CBDC. In August, large families will receive payments in digital rubles to purchase school uniforms, and farmers will be provided for transactions related to leasing agricultural machinery. The pilot project is being implemented with the support of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and the participation of the Ministry of Finance of Chuvashia. Mass implementation is planned for September 1, 2026. From that date, major banks will be required to offer clients the opportunity to open wallets with digital rubles.
