The country’s Ministry of Finance plans to launch new accounts in 2027 to encourage retail investment. However, the exact launch date has not yet been determined. The tax rate and the tax-free allowance will be announced in Ireland’s 2027 budget.

The new accounts will allow Irish residents to invest in stocks, bonds, ETFs, and other investment funds. Cryptocurrencies and derivatives will be excluded. The government classifies them as “extremely complex and risky” products.
