Joe Biden’s son is launching a memecoin today, sending up to 20% of the tokens to holders of Trump’s memecoin.

The name LAPTOP is based on his infamous laptop, which became the subject of the scandals surrounding the 2020 U.S. elections. It also involved Hunter Biden’s legal cases related to Ukraine.

The former president’s son has repeatedly criticized Trump’s ties to the crypto industry through WLFI. In August, he compared the company to FTX, pointing to its links with foreign governments, including the UAE. In June, Biden said that decentralized digital currency and blockchain are the inevitable future.

The founders of LAPTOP will burn up to 30% of the memecoin supply depending on how events unfold. These include a Democrat winning the 2028 presidential election, BTC reaching all-time highs, and LAPTOP’s market cap surpassing TRUMP. Another 20% of the tokens will be allocated to charity and liquidity provision.
