In October 2025, the bank urged the company to find a new banking partner, citing regulatory concerns. Polymarket subsequently moved its accounts to another, unnamed bank. At the time the accounts were closed, Polymarket was not serving U.S. customers after settling a dispute with the CFTC in 2022. The agreement required the company to pay a $1.4 million fine and shut down markets that did not comply with U.S. law.

At the same time, the companies have maintained a positive relationship. In particular, Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan continues to speak at JPMorgan events. The company is also considering the bank as an underwriter for its IPO. Polymarket is in talks to raise funds at a $20 billion valuation.
