The securities market regulator has stated that unlicensed crypto companies will not be granted additional time or special conditions. However, they are prepared to assist companies in an orderly shutdown. These comments came after Binance withdrew its application for MiCA in Greece. Nonetheless, they emphasized their intention to obtain a license in other countries in the coming months. Earlier, OKX Europe CEO Erald Gush mentioned that 80% of crypto exchanges will not survive the implementation of MiCA after July 1. Binance co-founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) also criticized the new regulations. He described liquidity, rather than restrictions, as the best protection for users. Meanwhile, OKX CEO Star Xu accused Binance of "ignoring laws and regulations." He also referenced past allegations of "money laundering, sanction violations, and market manipulation."
