Companies must apply by February 28, 2027, before the new rules take effect on October 25, 2027. The regime covers firms that provide cryptocurrency trading, transactions, staking, and asset custody. At the same time, compliance with anti-money-laundering rules will not result in obtaining a license. Companies will also need to meet requirements for disclosure of information on cryptoassets, financial stability, and consumer protection.

Meanwhile, while companies’ applications are under review, they may continue providing crypto services, including attracting new clients.
